Face Lift

To provide improvement when there is a modest amount of excess skin of the face and/or neck and to sharpen the jaw line to a more youthful contour. These procedures are usually done for patients in their late 30's, 40's and occasionally, early 50's.

Each procedure is modified to address the needs of each individual patient and may include an incision in the temporal scalp, in front of the ear, behind the ear, or in the scalp behind the ear. There are no sutures to remove in front of the ears- these incisions are sealed with skin glue for a fine line scar. Lipo-contouring of the jowl and or fat pads under the chin is frequently done with these procedures and the fat removed may be injected to soften nasolabial fold lines, vertical lip lines, marionette lines, or vertical forehead frown lines. These procedures are frequently done under local anesthesia, although the patient can have a general anesthetic if he or she wishes.

Recovery time is 1 to 2 weeks. Post-op pain, swelling, and bruising are usually minimal.
